I don't care what we saw in "Emissary," to me the Melbourne will always be the 4-nacelled proto-Nebula monstrosity...  :D

These are cool, but I doubt the Federation would allow this kind of, erm, activity to take place, for startersI doubt they'd allow people to sell cut'n'shut starships and second they'd probably consider it a huge insult to the thousands of dead starfleet officers from Wolf359, it's kind of the Trek equivalent of raising a ship from Pearl Harbour or one of the sunken Japanese ships and selling it on as a cruise liner, obviously that's completely unfeasable in the real world but you get what I'm saying.

On the ships themselves, they're kinda cool looking, something I'd imagine a pirate cartell doing to a captured vessel, though hideously ugly

whats your point?

lol

ok. well on the otherhand after a major war, especialy considering the dominion wars, countries often hugely relax bussiness laws in order to promote commerce and get the economy back on its feet,  they then re-introduce legislation over time.

i CAN imagine this happening after the dominion wars,

at the end of the day....who cares lol

No one I guess, apart from me. Just giving my opinion on the unlikelyhood of the backstory to your ships, the Federation is not America in space, they have principles, that I don't think they'd violate. Besides which I doubt the ships from Wolf359 would still be there by the time of the Dominion War, the relatively badly damaged ones like the Kyushu, or Awhanee would have been repaired and sent back into service, while the total write-offs would have been stripped for parts and sent to a junkyard to rot, that's the only way I could imagine shady folks getting there hands on the hulls of these really badly damaged ships.

That's my opinion and I wont use these ships in my game, I'm just saying why I don't like them, other clearly do and will use them, that's their choice. I don't want you to stop making them or anything of the sort just giving my opinion on them. Peace man.

P.S. I'm not a dirty stinkin hippy, the peace remark was just another way of saying goodbye ;D

Yes I actually want them! All models posted here are part of our history and should be preserved and even played with at least once!

Pass 'em to me anthonyscott_4@lycos.com already!

Starfleet made wolf 359 a graveyard so i doubt very much that they would let anything leave that sector of space. I love the ships but since so many offcers were lost in that battle there would be a huge outcry from the familys if anything was moved from that sector. The USS Melborne (Excelsior Class) and The USS Melborne (Nebula Class) could have both been at W359. Remember the Uss defiant Constitution class in tos? and the Defiant class. gathered they wernt in the same time pieroid but starfeelt going to have hundreads if not trousands of ships to potrol 80 0000 light years.

If I may suggest one thing..........They are all great ships, and I have to agree that the Federation wouldn't like or allow such things so..........Why not make them PIRATE SHIPS ?
Just a thought
