Here it is:

It was a challenge. Not quite satisfied with it, but it was my first space scene.  :P

I'll tackle the ISC next, most likely the first front view as it has more votes.

Very good Job Bro. I hope you don't mind that I used It as My Background.

Thanks Reptor. I appreciate that. I'll try and Write a Proggy that will let me Cycle through your Backgrounds as You make your Paintings.

I agree, That Background is Awesome, and With His water Color/Oil Bastardization technique, It would be awesome.

BTW, If You don't know what I mean, Check out his site, and his Book. He takes Old school and Completely Reinvents Art, into something Meaningfull yet again.

Well, with words like that, looks like I'm doing the 2nd firey one.  :D  I need to write up the Hydran first. Somewhere around 80 steps & images. Give me a week.

BTW, TracyG can I put your 21 gun salute in the book?

wow...kewl stuff. I stopped by your web site. The Cape Hatteras is awesome. I wish I had just a portion of your talent. I'd try it but would be afraid of messing up so badly that I'd give up.

Appreciate it! I'm not done yet though. Just completed putting together a pdf containing how the painting was done step-by-step with a tribute to Taldren:

Need a favor though. Not sure on some descriptions of certain parts of the ship. I even called something a "thingy".  :o Can someone look through the pdf and post the correct names so I can edit it?

No charge for download or online preview. Get it at:

Ohhh! I have an ISC ship to paint tomorrow!

Thanks!

Edited: New version is up: http://www.lulu.com/mergedcenturies

Another Edit: Eh, gonna have to wait till next weekend before starting on the ISC painting. But I did make a slideshow of the Hydran painting: http://reptor7.tripod.com/artshowhydran.html

Enjoy!

You should have seen my first 10 or so paintings.  :-\  It's all about doing one at a time, and each one will teach you something that you can apply to the next. I've been painting 15 yrs now (took a 2 yr break while doing ISC Theater).

Underpainting is a recent thing I've been doing, at least in the past 5 yrs. It's definately helped me with painting objects. Just painting mountains & trees get boring after awhile. Check out the Hydran slideshow:
