The BattleClinic 1.2 mod by Aenigma Server is up and running...

On a P2 1.8Ghz with 512MB RAM

and

a DEDICATED cablemodem connection. Nothing else running on it...just FL.  WOOT!

I just got bored with the game after 3 months. Still a great game, though.

It's just missing an element ... The new 1.7 mod was fun, but after I found everything, seemed there was not much to do. I found every jump hole, base, trade route, made all the enemies/allies ... it flies good and graphics are good, just misses the SFC element. It misses the fleet aspect to the game, I guess.

Not a knock, just an opinion.

I agree WT.... Played Freelancer for about a month. Sure wish there was a way to combine Freelancer map layout with SFC3 ship configs and all available options of SFC3 ships (tractor, cloak, warp, weapons, fleeting, etc.). Get rid of gates and just let SFC3 ships warp around. Now there would be a game!

Yea Rota, I've flown the SFC3 ships in FL.Big whoop. New ships -- still missing the basic elements of *fleet* tactics and naval strategy. There is no way to change MAP control or achieve a common victory and purpose.

Don't spend all your time making the ships -- the mods and ships were done months ago. That's nothing new.

But the game still has the same aspects. Jump hole this, trade that, exhange this, but that ... *yawn*

I found it all, did it all there ... There wasn't a wreck I didn't find or a ship or weapon I didn't find, fly or fight.

And you can't change the basic elements of the game or ya' get threats of lawsuits from Microsoft. I remember the modder who tried it.

Just an opinion.

We will try nevertheless. Games are fun when you are on ts and enjoying them with friends. Whether it be sfc,Freelancer or listening to unseen scam seniors in hearts lol.The games are what you make of them, not what the developers see.

 I just bought it and i cant get the  Thing to work right!!!
 I cant read any of the writing its all smashed together.
 The only reason i got the dammed thing was because allot of people at Taldren recommended it.
 If i ever get it working it seems like it could be a interesting game,

Ah, you have an integrated video card or a Voodoo I'd imagine.  Probably either the Intel series of integrated cards I'd imagine.

I'm not certain if patching it would help or not...

Sorry, I'm not quite certain how to fix that one...I tried it on a computer with that, but we never figured out how to fix it...perhaps if you want to do a driver update (excessively hard in my opinion for the integrateds, but it could work to update the card to current specs, I think it involves flashing the bios though).

PS:  Forgot to add, you can still play the game with the writing like that, it makes it a tad difficult to figure certain things out though.
