They said it was safe...

...they said that the probes they sent in didnt pick up anything from the other side.

"It's all clear" they all said, they didnt know.

Ceti Cygnus 6 was a desert world, an ancient civilization once prospered and grew, then, suddenly they vanish.  Starfleet Sciences say they they left, in a BIG hurry.  No one knew why.

In the center of the main city was a massive ring structure made of unknown metals.  It had a device right in front of it on a small pedastal with a ring of buttons and a central red dome, presumably to activate whatever the ring was designed for.

Starfleet Sciences took 2 weeks to activate the ring...turns out it was some kind of portal to other worlds.  The probes were sent in first, they didnt fnd anything wrong.

About 2 hours ago HQ lost contact with the science expititionary force that was left behind, the last picutre sent was one of the staff having her pic taken remotely, starfleet presumes since it was nighttime over there that everyone else was asleep.

No one knows the fate of the expititionary force, or where the creature originates from....

Image was done by myself for a new Trek RPG that needed a hand with graphics.  Featuring the main mascot of the STGD, the Alien from the "Alien" series of films...and...of course...The StarGate.
