Only if Enterprise and Voyager humbled him somewhat.

He was very arrogant because TNG and DS 9 were so well recieved, it took two sub-par shows to finally get him out of TV trek.

 Im still trying to figure out what the heck he was thinking. Its like ego took over and he believed he could do no wrong.
 He has made Enterprise such a mess i don't know if it can really be saved. Perhaps changing the time slot will help, But i hear GSG is going to use the same time slot when it comes out,So we shall see.

 ( Yea I'm letting my geek show through But i really mean it i can't tell you haw many times i have sat there watching it with my fiancé, and said out loud. God bless him Gene must be rolling in his grave (Or the equivalent.). It actually got so bad sometimes i had to just walk away.

Voyager wasn't that bad... It got better once the Borg were introduce... Plus 7o9 in there didn't hurt, if you catch my drift... But two hotties in two consecutive shows isn't going to work... Sorry.

To be honest with you i did not start watching Voyager until Babylon 5 was taken off the air. But i will have to admit it did develop into one excellent show.
 The same with DS-9 lame start, Then later i just did not whant it to end.

Here's a hint: There's a reason Q made fine mincemeat of the cast when he popped aboard. Think about it.

You've met two of us now.  DS9 was boring to me.  What I like in Trek is the moving around, the exploration the journey.  To me DS9 == Melrose Place with airlocks and transporters.

What I didn't like about Voyager was that they would introduce villains and then keep them around for an entire season.  If they were regional bad guys, how come they didn't just fly out of their area of influence as fast as they flew in?

Mall Trek. That's all it was.

As for the Regional Enemies, two points:

1) The "region" might be big,
2) The show might not have the $$ to create another race every episode
3) Too many races makes each seem cheap. I like seeing the same character's for a while. You Recognize a race, it shows that the writers are trying to keep a rough plot continum. Take a look at the other extreme: The Xindi with Enterprise. I lost interest after 3 weeks.

DS9 suffered from a stationary setting, which can lead to what I like to call the "Black Sheep Syndrome."

Anyone here remember the TV show "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" loosely based on 'Pappy' Boyington's VMF-214 fighter squadron? Great show, great actors, and some great lines:

General: "What about this one piolt, Lt. Wiley- he's crashed three times and shot down two of his own wingmen! That's 5 planes!"

'Pappy': "See, he's only been in the air a week and he's already a Japanese ace!"

The problem was every show was devided into 4 distinct phases:

1.) Get in trouble and get grounded.
2.) Get drunk and think up hair-brained mission.
3.) Fly mission without permission and kill a lot of Japs.
4.) Go to the bar, get drunk and chase nurses to celebrate, leading back to Phase 1 to set up next episode.

There's only so many things you can do inside that framework- and though they can make for a verry successful and fulfilling tour of duty, it's not going to keep people watching TV forever (mostly 'cause you can't show the best parts on TV).

DS9 suffered from the same problems- you can only do so many things in a fixed location with unchanging enemies. DS( had great cast and characters... but you can only tangle with the Carddies and have a cold one at Quarks so many times before it gets old.
