Oh I don't know...Q is one of the best characters I've seen in fiction. He made mince meat out of DS9 when he showed up there...I'm serious, I couldn't stop laughing...well, untill Sisko started whining about how inconvenient it was, but meh, nothing's perfect.

Except Q, of course.

Q is neat, but the actor is aging.  It would seem pretty weird to watch Q get fat and wrinkly.  It's the same problem with Data.

But I don't think Q really belongs on the show anyway.  It just doesn't feel right.  Q was there to challenge the earthlings who had gotten too full of themselves.   He was supposed to be big and mysterious and a little bit frightening.  The early Q would, I think, be a bit overwhelming in Enterprise, and I really don't like the clown Q of the later years.  I think the idea should die.

And to comment on the article, I loved Braga's quote, "You want parameters and I personally love Gene?s universe...."  Isn't he the same one who bragged about never watching TOS so that his creativity wouldn't be constrained, the one who has publicly stated that he hates the original show?

I really don't know about the not watching TOS bit. Sounds idiotic if it's true.

As for Q, maybe you're right, it would overwhelm(Mucha as it pains me to admit it).

Maybe another Q? Younger, brasher, less overwhelming?

They probaly just want to give Delance work, as the guy is good.

Q could appear, but in a different sort of way, maybe helping the humans, instead of teaching humility. As was mentioned, Picard and crew were arrogant, the same cannot be said of Archer, who's humans barely survived the Xindi story. Also, Q could maybe only appear to Archer, and maybe destroy the whole "future boy" crap, since Q can do ANYTHING.

I read that article and all it talks about is a move to a friday night timeslot.  Where does it say Berman and Braga will be replaced by another producer?
