What is up with the great guitarists?
« on: June 19, 2004, 09:35:51 am »
Just got a copy of G3, Live in Denver Oct 2003...Joe S. looks great (he could lose the hat)..Steve Vai has lost some weight and cut his hair (his decission)..but Yngwie Malmsteen must of taken Vai's weight loss and a few others and gathered it to himself..he has porked out..

However..still good music..great guitar playing..and I liked Steve's triple neck guitar and how he integrated the electronics...Just what I want for Christmas/Birthday (24 Dec)...

Mike

P.S.  Those that are into it..check out "The Night of the Guitar" and it's incarnations.

Is this the hat that you are talking about?

I went to one ogf those mini shows that Joe did where he was promoting his new Peavey JSX signature amp. After the show he took questions for a while. At the end someone yelled out "Where did you get that hat?!" We all laughed 'cause we were all thinking the same thing.

Looks similar, but is all black with flappy things (less than an inch) on it...probably was cold in Denver that night...kinda prefer him with longer hair..but maybe it's going grey and he doesn't want to advertise it..

Actually, I believe he was bald on top and decided to shave the rest of it off. if took that hat off you might get blinded by the lights glalring off his head.
