LOL... it looks like  a BOP and a D6 had a few too many and forgot that relatives aren't supposed to fool around!

Cool though. Kinda like a heavy gunship version of the D6... maybe one that has some Disruptor-40's mounted externally.

Rofl exactly what i thought, i even called it a "Bird of K'Tinga" in 3D Max   I even swept up the wings a lil to resemble the bird of preys "in-flight" position.

I was half-thinking of it as a derivative of the Mauler Cruisers when i started out, but then it just kind of mutated into a Desperation weapon designed to hit and punch hard in one pass against Fed Dreadnoughts, manned by disgraced warriors looking to restore their honour. Could come up with some nice backstory like that, come to think about it lol.

It actually looks like something the Romulans would have done to some of their aquired Klink ships, to give them a more "Romulan" feel. And those pics are good.

looks like the Khaless class Dreadnought with raised wings the guns under the secondary hull and the warpnacelles at the place like the D-7 its has and looks a bit better than the Khaless "original" design
the "original" Khaless i made some time ago

If you want to go that route, may i make a suggestion? Make it a Penal Cruiser (J-Varrient in SFB).

Penal cruisers were gulag ships that were commanded by disgraced warriors and crewed by 'unreliables' and criminals from the races of the Klingon Empire. They were a way to patrol and police the Empire and a way to seperate redeamable officers who had greatly erred from the holpessly inept. One of the best commanders in the Klingon Empire once commanded a penal frigate.

These ships were assigned ungalmorous jobs or dangerous ones. They had one unique feature, a small warp engine beneath the boom which would allow the Klingon officers to make a hasty, warp-speed retreat in the event of their extra-rowdy charges rebelling. This engine could generate power for anything but movement while the boom was still attached to the rest of the ship.

The conversion would be easy to do. Shrink a warp engine down to about half-size and mount it underneath the boom on a short pylon. That way it is between the cannons and out of their line of fire.

Volia`, you now have a ship crewed by men desperate enough to drive you modified semi-dreadnaught up to a more powerful ship and blast away in hopes of clearing their names!

Download Link added to first post guys

J. Carney , i like that, i think i can make a variation that fits that description, can you describe the boom a little more? I mean would it be along the lines of  THIS  but with a smaller warp nacelle in center?

PS Bonaventure II is up at starfleet universe as well, do a search of my nick there (but check all 3 categories where it asks for file name/author etc) )it didnt turn out as well as i hoped but its there if ya wants to snag it

Its really nice to see some more non-Federation ships, especially Klingon ones on these forums.

If I may offer an alternative to the SFB suggestion, I would say that the Klingon Empire too had its own "Frankenstien Fleet" during the Dominion War... we just never saw them on DS9, LOL.

I am still hoping for a D-10B kitbash with C-7 command boom and engines with the STOCK KCX style "head"

Thank you guys for sharing these.

Yeah... like that. here look at the C8/9 and B10 classes here at Desty Nova's site, they show the layout well.

What the boom engine is is a small (2 point) warp engine suspended on a strut beneath the boom slightly forward of where it seperates from the main hull. Of course, the enging and the strut don't need to be nearly that big since the emergency engine puts out only about 1/6th the power of the main engines. I'd say shrink the engine  about 1/5th its size (if it's not a whole lot of trouble; if it's too much you can just use the standard one) and mount it just aft where the collar starts on the boom (where the boom starts to get thick). That way, the engine would be just about even with the muzzles of your cannons and between them, puting it out of harm's way.

BTW, a little SFB history that might aid in your backstory- the life and times of Ardak Kumerian. He is the only Klingon officer on which the UFP has a complete record and is considered typical of their officers (though he is a gifted staff officer later in his career).

Y164- Assumes command of the F5 IKV Vigilence

Y166- Due to distinguished preformance in hostilities with the Kzinti Hegemony, Kumerian is promoted and given command D6
        IKV Distruction

Y167- After transfer to the Tholian Harrasment Squadron and distruction of a Tholian patrol squadron Kumerian is promoted to
Commodore of the Squadron and takes command of D7 IKV Darkslayer.  After failing in an attempt to destroy a Tholian
Base Station, he is demoted and returned to command of D6 IKV Distruction.

Y170- D6 IKV Distruction mutinies and escapes to UFP Starbase 16. Kumerian is a POW for oneyear and when he returns he
is given command of penal ship F5J IKV Insufferable. The same year, his son graduates the Military Academy but is
forced to join the Internal Security Fleet instead of the more prestegious Deep Space Fleet.

Y177- His sentence on the F5J IKV Insufferable complete, Kumerian is restored to command of D6 IKV Distruction. He
fights his ship on the Federation front.

Y179- After satisfactory preformance agianst the Federation Kumerian is promoted to commodore again and transfered to
Western Fleet Staff, where he proves to be extremely gifted, though unhappy.

Y181- Kumerian promoted to Admiral of Red Fleet (training) and oversees officer training.

Y182- Admiral Kumerian and Red Fleet are mustered into action agianst Allied invasion code named 'Operation Calvary.'
Kumerian's flagship C8 IKV Victory is destroyed and his fleet erradicated. Kumerian escapes in the boom section of
his flagship, but is hunted down and killed before he can return to base.

Edit: Just saw the Romulan version... nice, nice, nice. I can never have too many Birdies flying around my base. Looks great!

Let me be MORE specific: Atrahasis' D-10B Riskadh and Atrahasis' C-7 Command Boom and C-7 Warp engines. Maurath (formerly TVL) did a kitbash with Atras D-10B and C-7 but it still had Atrahasis' C-5 style command "head" on it.

Qapla!

PERFECT!

Well done!

Now, I assume it needs additional lighting?

Perhaps make the "head" a little bit smaller and have one variant with the C-7 head too please.

Absolutely a record. I've been askind of a D-10B with C-7 engines and C-7 head for almost three years. Adding the STOCK KCX head only occured to me after Terradyne made his K' teremny destroyer...

At any rate if we can have one of these with the C-7 head as well, these will make it into the FASA Trek to SFC Collection ...part II...
