Hoorah for baseball players from different states and this little kid, in a couple of years his new collection will be worth a pretty penny indeed! I'd still be pissed off if I was the kid, but I'd also tell that man that beat me, keep your worthless foul ball, I'm set for life!

Even the news casters are calling the guy a jerk.  In the Naval Media center that I work in, we see the scene over and over again on the Armed Forces Television Service.  That guy was full of himself and I hope he's proud to see that his image was braodcatsed for the past two days with his smug face on how he barreled over a ten year old kid and stole the childs prize. It was great to see that mom got a swat at that jerk after he took that ball from her boy.
Well the kid got a few signed baseballs and a bat including a game ticket.
It's good to see that the Ball clubs know who is important.

Now the guy is giving the foul ball back and wanting to buy him and his family season tickets to the Rangers home games. My guess is that his clients did not want his business anymore after that incident, thus the "change of heart."

Oh yeah, you just know from the self-satisfied smug look on his face that he didn't just have a change of heart.  He did this to appease the public outcry and try and get the media off of his back.

Not only that Scott, but his income is dependent on his job as a landscaper, I wonder how many clients called to cancel job contracts or offers after he was shown on the telly like that? I know I would have cancelled and told him my business will be with a reputable landscaper, not someone who beats up kids. My guess is he might want to consider relocating, as this will follow him in the area he works and lives in.

As well it should.  People need to be held more accountable for thier actions than they normally are these days.

I'd hope he would be ashamed of himself, but I doubt it.  I'll bet he's just in damage control mode.
