It rained off an on while we were at Cedar Point this weekend too.  It rained while we were in the hotel and cleared out while we were in the park or on the beach.  We also stopped by the Toledo museum and the Toledo zoo.  Had a great time.  The only problem was our hotel was evacuated at 3:00 am the first night we stayed at Cedar Point.  From what I heard some Id10t thought it would be a great idea to cook BBQ ribs on a hot plate that wasn't supposed to be in the room in the first place.

Yep, causing havoc with the wheat crops.  But on the plus side the water levels around here haven't looked this good in a long time.

Ceder Point, the amusement park?  I miss that place, I used to go there every other year or so when I was growing up...

Yep that's the place.  It was a good time.  That new Dragster ride is insane, I saw a couple of people puke their guts out at the end of the ride.

100 degrees and 6% humidity? No wonder they take siestas and Pancho Villa had the case of the arse!

Gotta find me some type of sunscreen material to hang over my rose garden, they bloom like crazy as I keep them well watered, but they live like 2 days, while back in april they lived (blooms) all week!

I remember being afraid to go on the Gemini coaster when I was little.  Later on they had the Magnum, which was briefly the tallest rollercoaster in the world.  I recall being up at the top of the Magnum and looking down on the top of the itty-bitty Gemini that I used to be so afraid of.

Remember and old Ceder Pointer commercial that chanted "Demon Drop, Demon Drop, Demon Demon, Demon Drop, Demon Drop, Demon Demon..."

Your comparison of the Gemini and the Magnum works well comparing the Magnum to the Dragster.  The Magnum looks small now compared to the Dragster.  The Dragster ride only lasts about 20 seconds though.  Cedar Point also has a Rip Cord ride that takes you up about 12 stories then after you pull a rip cord, get sent flying toward the ground and swing around a bit.  I think the only thing we missed was the Parasailing out on the lake, but we can do that anytime.

I remember the old Demon Drop commercial back in the late 80's.  I also remember a lot of people wanting to ride that ride after an accident with a similar ride in Texas.  I guess some people just have to know what all the fuss is about.
