Nice clean lines... Very pretty.

Been looking for a model like this...

Hey, I wonder, did you use a texture is stretched across the front of the aft hull above the photon launchers? That'd be the largest area that a shuttlebay could fit in...

Unless you have a carrier model... and put 2x doors on either side of the upper aft hull.

Think I'll try that.

As the std F-ff, very cool.

AHHH! Very sneaky, WZ. And nicely done. 1st glance you never see it there... Perfect place to put it too...

That model... it all just works good. I've always liked it. And this time it's been done right. gj WZ.

Very nice. I've never been able to find a TMP frigate to replace the stocker that I was happy with, until now. Thank you very much.

Excellent model. I've never understood how that thing is a frigate though, seeing how it appears to have much greater mass than the Fed CA. Oh well.

Anyway, nice job.

Ummm what DN said. The scale... as an SFB frig its should be much smaller... as the FASA TMP frig, yeah, I can see it being that big...

But all those aside, in SFC, I think it should be 3/5ths the size of the F-CA.

Yeah, well said regarding FASA Trek Frigates. Which is why myself and others think the Chandley Class ***Cough* ** "Heavy Frigate" should really  be a HEAVY CRUISER....

Now, anybody trying to make a KA to SFC3 conversion project will have to make a tough choice about the Okinawa, any chance you can include an alternate size mod file?

Nice job WZ45! Thanks for sharing this. Excellent job!

HI WZ
Fantastic work as usual
If I can make a suggestion regarding an SFB version Scale down the ship but Scale up the Bridge section also make the Leading edge windows larger so it represents one deck in height. I also like it in the current scale because it would make a great looking battle cruiser or heavy cruise variant  say you want a drone cruiser to look different from your standard heavy cruiser well heres a nice case.

Excellent job WZ ...  you took a ship that many dont care too much for ..  and made it look VERY nice.  Textures are some of the best I've seen on this model !

Excellent !!

Just wanted to offer a thank you for the new Federation frigate. One would be hard pressed to do better than this. There seems to be a question here about the relative size of it but in the mean time it is easy enough to take advantage of OP's scaling capabilities.

Thanks dead man... really nice looking model there.

It's a very cool design and a very cool update Mr. WZ. The scaling issue comes from the stock version of the Okinawa using a badly scaled saucer and bridge from the Enterprise class.

I would agree with Bernard on this one about scaling, to make a frigate sized version just alter the window size and scale the entire thing down aside from the bridge and it'll be in scale with the Enterprise but frigate sized. I myself think the ship looks too good to be a measly frigate cannon-fodder and will use it as CL or CA

Slackers change the scale, modders change the model:

You guys complain too much anyway. Luckily, I had the foresight to make 2 versions

Who you callin a slacker LOL. The Kirishima looks fantastic too, where'd you get the names BTW? Sorry if I sound a bit ignorant but I'm rather interested, are they Japanese islands like Okinawa?

They're from the Ryukyu Island chain of around 50 islands (not all habitable), where Okinawa is the largest in the group. At least they're supposed to be anyway, Japanese names are a tricky lot.

...Did I mention the Okinawa-class is one of my favorite Klingon Academy-esque class of Starships?  And that they're only 183m in length?  (I already had the KA Manual near me incase I needed it. )

All in all, small-ship wise, the Okinawa-class is my favorite starship of all time, biased of the islands for living there before or not (and I had lived there before... I'm shamelessly telling everyone this again incase anyone forgot. ).  I really love how you designed them for SFC, WZ, even if they are too big. Very good work!  I'll not hesitate to use these.

Ah, Chris, I think you missed the size chart for the Kirishima posted above - it's half the size of the big version, making it fairly close to the KA scale. The other is scaled to the Constitution parts it's built from.

It's nice to see the KA/SFC series ships being done with greater detail. The Andromedans are also a great touch, although I'm still thinking on how I want to arm the buggers.

I've said it bunches of times already, but I hope you'll do the Excelsior. Except for Moonraker's, everyone else's more recent versions are either SFC3 or BC only.  That, and I'm shipping out soon, so I'd love to be spoiled by that one before I go off to face my destiny of bulletcatching on behalf of our divided government.

(In the Air Force? Riiiight... )
