Topic: Just messin' around .... again

I kinda went back to the basics of the X-CLC project ..  and went back to one impulse engine area ...  a LARGER one that is more pronounced.  This should still have the same maneuverability as two smaller ones ...  particularly where multi-vectoring technology is advanced ...

at any rate..  here is the basic primary hull with an refit TNG flavor

I might try the bottom view tonight ....  BUT   as you well know..  there is a LOT more to this than just a couple of incomplete views.  BUT....  if ya got something  I'd be glad to see it.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooo I like it !!!! May I suggest an upward "slope" to the hull behind the bridge as opposed to the "boxy" shape of the Miranda.Just a thought.

I'm looking at "rounding off the corners" so to speak....  and maybe changing the sngle of the slope...  I'll let ya know how ti truns out.

Actually  "E" ...  that is one of the reasons I went back to the basics..  there are a few things we need to do to bring 'er up to speed...  but if it is at all possible I want to keep the same primary hull.  The warp nacelles, sensor pod  (with the added q-torp tubes ) , roll bar, Impulse engines, and an added "lower deck" to the primary hull if it is done correctly should bring it up to speed...with the following tech up grades:

1.  Q-torps standard
2.  Deflector dish and q-torps in the same pod with the sensors on the roll bar
3.  expanded engineering section to accomodate for updated equipment
4.  Up-graded impulse engines to accomodate for multivectoring technology to improve maneuverability
5.  Up graded nacelles ... for obvious reasons to bring the Miranda up to late TNG specs.

If ya read the story line in GAW ...  the USS Bass Master ( one of only a few X-CLC ships developed) ...  was nearly distroyed in an effort to rescue and protect another Federation ship.  AS a result of that ..  It offered an opportunity to refit the ship and bring it into compliance with remaining ship designs that place the SeaWolf class Advanced Light Cruiser into the Federation line up with all of the appropriate upgrades.

They all look good, I know ya didn't want to hear that. I would have to see each of them on the ship to determine which one I thought looked best. I know "That's no help MP". I guess which ever one seems more proportionate to the ship.

Don't mean to nit pic...  well maybe I do... but if I remember right you have PhotoShop, why don't you draw things up in it instead. Using the program is the only way to really learn it and it will go along way to help you out doing your own ships textures as well. Not to mention we get to see what colours you think things should be.

Ron...  I've been really bussy at work ..  (that's where I'm at now) ..

I'll see about painting one of those nacells.  Also ...  I may have stumbled across a good side view of the pod on the roll bar.  It's one of those things that unless the proportions are right...  welll  reguardless of what ya do it just aint right !

I'll be here for several hours today ..  And if I dont get my bottom in high gear I never will get anything done !!  LOL !!

Hopefully we will get something done this evening !

In the mean time Azel may have some in put too !  That should be interesting !
