Looks like your Mark 7 mood enhancer has lost its specific settings and has defaulted to "Climb the clock tower and shoot at college students mode". In retrospect, there really wasn't anyway we could have forseen this.

Psychotropic drugs are just as dangerous, yet they are a multi-billion dollar a year industry. We have small machines that can control erections, give women orgasms, so why not help control depression? These machines may be large in our opinion now, but within the decade nanotechnology will be taking over these roles that the larger machines do for the moment. Already IBM R&D has made great strides with P/C chips based on nanotechnology, and sooner or later the breakthroughs will be made, and today's high speed machines will go the way of the dinosaur.
