I had an NCO when I was stationed at Ft. Benning GA who asked what we did in MN, I told him that we did alot of the same things everyone else in the country does.  Eventually I came accross the topic of swimming.  he asked where we swam, I told him in the lakes.  This blew his mind- he thought everything was frozen over year round up here.  After some considerationhe asked, "how can you swim in the lakes with the gators?"
For those of you that don't know, there are no gators up in this neck of the woods.
Duluth is unique, being on the largest freshw ater lake in the world, and I personally have never figured out its weathere compared to the rest of MN, but for the most part the summers up this way are warm, if not hot.  However, I've never known  the humidity to be worse here than the good ol' land of dixie.  Can't complain about the incessant heat and humidity more than there, so generally I don't.

P.S.  I like Latinas...
....And apparently Asian ladies as well...

100% humidity means that the air is saturated with water vapor and can hold no more. Which in turn means that water doesn't evaporate and the sweat stays on you making it very sticky and uncomfortable.

Gee sounds like Hawaii when the Trade Winds are nil and the air gets so close and hot you can hardly stand to move let alone breathe.  Thank the gods for central air!  wOOt!

It is 3:50 in the morning and the temperature here in Duluth, MN is 70 degrees with 100% humidity which is two degrees and 7 more points of humidity than Duluth, GA! A week ago I had the furnace running because it was so cold and now I am wishing I had an air conditioner.

This rant has been provided by Too Darn & Hot Inc.

What makes this doubly irratating is that I live close to a very large and very cold body of water, Lake Superior. The average high for June 8th is 66 degrees and I just checked and the temperature is now 73 degrees although the humidity has dropped down to 88%. The funny part is the forcast still shows the high as 72. I think I will go to bed before it gets any hotter.

Come to Hawaii!

Temperature: 82°F 28°C
Conditions: Partly Cloudy
Winds: ENE 8 MPH ENE 13 KPH
Relative Humidity: 62%
Barometer: 30.02 Rising
Visibility: 7.00 Miles 11.27 Kilometers
Feels Like: 86°F

It's a great day to go to the beach and look at all the lovely brown bodies tanning on the white sands.  Surf lapping near my home seems to be about 1 - 3 feet.  See here.  There is some light trades blowing to keep it relatively cool.  I even have an enticing sent of my plumeria tree blooming outside of my back lanai (porch).

But there is a small down side to my little paradise.  My kids have a half day at school today and then it's 5 weeks of keeping the little monsters busy!  LOL

I've always wondered...at 100% humidity...shouldn't you drown?

Ah, much better this morning. Although it is warmer than it should be, 47 is the average low at this time of year, 57 is a big improvement.

If it was only 70 degrees i would start to get cold . and i have never seen the humidity go below 80 % here.
Just remember things could allways be worse.

I suppose it is all in your point of view. To me 70 - 75 is a nice summer time high while you are looking for a sweater at the same temperature.

If you came up here today Ravok, you would want that winter coat.   The wind switched to the NE and the temperature as I get ready for work at 3:30 PM it is 50 degrees and since the plant that I work in is a metal building I find this very welcome.
