Erm, D-Day right? Sorry, not too up on the dates of WWII stuff, plus I've been systematically avoiding the propaganda on TV and the radio so I didn't know. Anyway, a moment of silence.

Today is indeed the day to salute all the soldiers who were involved in the D-Day landings on the 6th June 1944 and all the soldiers who sacrifced their lives in the process to liberate Europe.

I thought an especially touching moment was the Lancaster Bomber and two Spitfire escort that flew by today, and also when the Lancaster Bomber dumped a million poppies into the Channel.
