Semi OT: Interplay offices shut down by California

Three or four years ago, I might have gotten upset by this.

  Lets hope that this is only temporarally as they still have have all the cdkeys and I need to get two of my games fixed up by them.I would not be upset with Interplay without them there wouldn't be any Taldren.They were formed out of Interplays, 14 East Devision.I hope its not permanent and they will be back sometime I would back up all cdkeys though.I will have to do the same for mine.

  I checked Interplays toll free number and it is still working.I left a message that people where looking for cdkey replacement or thier originals.The number is 1-800-Interplay and just follow the voice promts.

Unfortunately, if California law is anything like Nevada (and it usually is because we ape them all the time) even coporate officers must be covered by workman's comp, so the argument that the employees "are volunteering" does not dissolve the need for the required liability coverage.

As far as I can sus Interplay is dead, it's just that the CEO won't let the undertaker take the corpse away.

Not necessairly a bad idea, if he still has money coming in he may be able to do something productive with it.

I'm not saying its right to keep all those people around w/o pay, but I can see his logic. I think.

Last time I checked, the US was a first world country.  Too bad Interplay does not understand this.
