Help!!
« on: June 05, 2004, 06:37:36 am »
I have recently recieved 3ds max version 6, as this is the only version that will work on Windows 2003 apparently. I went to install The Taldren SFC Plugin but it doesn't work!!! I have been to the Discreet forums and they tell me it should be a simple task to configure the current plugin to work with Version 6. So I come here on my hands and knees to ask you if it would be possible if you can find five minutes of your time to do the work.

Your help is very mutch appreciated (",)

Oh the plugin works fine on Version five, but Version five won't work on the Windows 2003 system that I use!!

Ever since I have started using the new Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Version 5 of 3ds max doesn't work, it installs fine but wont let me enter licence details or anything, so I now use ver 6 which runs fine except for the plugin grrrr. I am devistated now.

Well there are two differant kinds of Licence for max A stand alone like I use and a networking licence  dont know why but that the way they want it. Sure your getting the correct type licence.

Yes, It's a stand alone licence and normally works fine... It worked ok with My computer when I was using w2K, however as soon as I imported a SFC MOD file it crashed. So I installed Windows 2003 and max 5 again wont let me enter my licence details!!! The error message is as follows.... Infact I just tried to reinstall v5 and I get this error message "internal error 2753 backburnercfg.exe" I click on the 3ds max v5 icon and then this error reappears and then wont let me enter my licence details...

not sure what all the proggys u have on ur comp. but the cdilla folder is in ur c:/ drive  it's usually a hidden folder. so u'll have to use the show hidden files on the folder options
