HELP! Where to find the missing SFC2_Script_API.dsw file?
« on: June 03, 2004, 11:32:40 pm »
I am attempting to start coding a few OP missions, but am missing the SFC2_Script_API.dsw file.

Dave's tutorial stated that this file was left out of the OP API release, and gives a link to where I can download the file.  Unfortunately, this link no longer works.

Is this file the same as the file-with-same-name from EAW?  Or do I need a different file?  If I do need a different (updated) file, where can I get it?

Thanks for any help!

Firesoul has a clean build env which (IIRC) has the dsw file.  You can get it here:

look for build environments

Rhaz and Tracey:

Thank you both very much for your replies.  I've downloaded Firesouls zips, but it will be a few days before I can catch my breath and give these a try.

Tracey, I'll keep your name on MSN in mind in case the downloads don't work out.

Looks like this one works - sorry for the slow reply!

The build environments are about halfway down the page

No prob, thanks for the link.

I have given up on getting answers to most anything I have asked on here.  I think I have ten open questions on here yet.  Heck over a year ago I asked to get on the server board (I am not interested in getting on it anymore, I just diddle with the kit now).

Dismayed but I still check in.

I'm hardly ever here for long anymore, but if you ding my hotmail (NuclearWessels@same) it at least reminds me often enough (and at times when I'm avoiding real work) that I'll try to answer.  How the hell did RL ever get so busy anydamnway????

It's actuallly appreciated that folks are still interested in picking up the scripting side - even if we don't give that impression much!

Well, as my coding skills need work yet, playing with some scripting will help out.  Since it can be mainly modifying code instead of starting from fresh.  My C++ skills are as dated as VC++ 6.0 (actually worse, my programming days was back in the 90's.  Modula-2, C++, assembler  ah and no window's code back then).

I have some ideas for a server but need some scripts done for it (and some network stuff also, a new learning curve).  So thought I'd give a shot doing it myself instead of trying to explain my weirdness.
