HEHEH  ...   yeah !!  I'm worse than a kid in a candy store waiting on the next update !!!  Or like a certain some one we all appreciate who is insistant on asking for ... "Models Please" !!

I hope it's ok, but I'm gonna have to leave the impulse the way it is...I don't have the knowledge/skill necessary to correct it wothout screwing the the mesh.

Sorry for the delay...after setting up our cable broadband service and hooking it to the old router we had (notice word had), while my wife was on, there was a pop, and power went out for a few seconds. Router now works not at all. Took me all day yesterday to figure out what was going on. Should be able to do more friday (knock on wood).

just hang in there bud....  do the best you can.  As for the Impulse and Pylons ...  I had hoped you could taper those a little better...  but if ya cant...  then for now...  dont worry about it !!  This is as much about all of us learning togeather, sharing ideas and helping the community  to grow and produce a better product for all of us to enjoy !

how about i have ago at tampering with the textures around that area and see if i can do something without having to play with the mesh?

actually if you look at the mesh and the picts of the hull from a design stand point of view...  the back end of the impulse area must be beveled to match the slope of the primary hull ..  and it is a wider taper as it aproaches the back as well..  But that's ok  ...  (you can take a look at the picts we posted a few lines back up and see what I'm talking about)


Once the mesh is corrected...  the rest should be much easier ... and it will give the primary hull a totally different look around that area.  

The rest of the mesh looks pretty darn good IMHO .. just those two areas that are a concern.  But...  hey Sandman3-D has came a LOOOOONG ways on this project and is to be commended for his work !!

OK, a quick note: due to the fact that I seem to get a bad migraine every time I start to work on this, I'm going to have to let it lie for a while...really tired of having my head feel like it's going to explode. I'll get it done, just might be awhile...ask Azel, this has happened before, i.e. his USS Dauntless I made a couple months before. SORRY FOR THE DELAY!! If anyone wants to take a stab at her, I'll send what I have done so far, just post here or send a PM.

Sorry to hear that, man. That must be frustrating to be hurting while doing something you love. Maybe working in shorter spurts would, or taking a migraine med before starting up again?

hey sandman you take it easy i know im not 100% with milkshape but i will have a shot at putting her in some clothes for you and i will try my very best to make everyone who has helped very proud if not i can at least release a Beta after i have her skined

OK, I'll zip her up and send her to you...and feel free to discard the stuff I have on her now if you feel you can do better (which it looks like you can...I suck at texturing), I just want this baby done, and my head don't want to cooperate. Expect it shortly.

well i will try to keep what you have done the only thing i would like to play with would be the deflector but apart from that i will add on to what youve done but not replace it

Sandman ...  you take care sir.  No need to feel badly about such matters.  I would rather see a health Sandman3D ...  that is a primary concern.  Your Name is still a major factor in the development of this ship  and will remain so when it is released.

OK, went and chk'd my mail...apparently there was a virus warning, the zip file was larger than it was supposed to be, so I think something piggy-backed it. I'll u/l to my site and send ya the link.

Also, I have received an offer to finish her from someone who shall remain nameless right now, but I know you all would love to know! F_W, I still want your version also...we can have a heck of a week with releases.

I agree Sandman...  Above all I would like to personally thank you for your hard work and efforts.  If you are able to finish your version as well  at a later point in time...  I would be very much interested in seeing your work completed.

Above all else I hope you get to feeling better soon.  I deeply appreciate working with you and like your work.

I think this also speaks well fo the community when they are willing to step in and help finish this project.

I totally re-affirm what has already been stated.Health and Family first.Feel better Sandman sir. I think it'll be cool to see F_W's version and this "OTHER" version you spoke of as well as yours when you finish her. Your contribution to this project has been greatly appreciated by everyone !!!!
