Actually there have been ship editors available for years now.. ever since SFC 1.. the program is called ShipEdit.. I have an installer that will install Shipedit for SFC 1 and EAW, and Shipedit OP both onto your system giving desktop shortcuts...
I recommend that if you are editing orion Pirates shiplist, then you first open it in Shipedit EAW first, then immediately open it in Shipedit OP.. Shipedit EAW has notations available for each box you are editing, giving examples and such where shipedit OP does not have that feature....
For the Full Installer, I need to upload it, just give me until tomorrow and I will make it available.
There are also other places to get it, but those other methods will require 2 downloads and to follow some different steps before it will work correctly.
My Full Installer would be the simpliest to use, but I need to get it uploaded.
Hope that this helps..
P.S. I'll post back here with the URL as soon as it is available..
PPS. The shiplist also opens in Excel.. in notepad, you have to be very careful with tab spacing as deleting just 1 tab spacing will mess up an entire ship.. in Excel, you have the cells to work within, thus helping to prevent messing up the format.. but Shipedit OP and Shipedit EAW are the easiest to use for making a ship by ship edit.
