Are the old forums archived anywhere?

All the good flame-wars happened before I started playing this game online and the stories from the "old timers" make them sound damn entertaining.

The old Forums are Archived on taldren's end.. Internal.. but mayby they will convert them to this format if asked nicely by email.. admin@taldren.com

Kenneth "TheBeast" Yeast is in the house now until a more permenant Admin can be found at Taldren.. but I am sure he will listen.. it may not be an immediate thing.. but if they have the resources, I think that Taldren would..

I can't say for sure and it is up to Ken, as Taldren's time now is very limited.

hope that this helps.

Awwww...c'mon, DH...I could swear you started one of the best flame wars when you first started in the game...heheh.  Of course, that was lost with the old forum, as well...heheh.

It would  be awesome to have access to all that old info, though. Awesome, indeed...

Yeah. I miss my dissertation of how I nailed Ball in a 1 hour 30 minute battle in CW3....his thread title of "pure [bleep]" says it all, heh.

Or Drac-Nor's post "are all hydran players swarm freaks?!". That was good as well.

I think the first real Flame War that I STARTED was over PFs in AOTK and that was after the glory days

Not everything has been archived I am sorry to say.  While what Pestalence suggests seems like fun, I am not going to realse the DB to the public, there is more in the forums than what is seen by the general public and I can't just send it out.

Maybe someday if I have some free time I will go through old stuff and see if I can bring some of it back.

I miss the "House of Lords"...the author deleted it though after 10 pages or so.

However, it only deleted the front page, and I have a bookmark to page 2 from there you can get the other pages...if only the board were still up...

There is a way to access the old posts.  It involves changing one of the digits in the address.  I forget which one, but I'll look it up for you tonight.

None of the links work.  You have to go through each post (in order of creation) one at a time.  I've been doing this for a while -- whenever my brain feels disengaged -- so I could find and save all the old D2 role-playing threads.  There is a lot of good stuff in there.

Of course, these are our forums, so there is also a lot of crap I wish I hadn't seen a second time.    But the good is more than worth the bad.

That is probably a nice air conditioned building you are in anyway. Why would you want to leave it and work in a hot building ?I imagine it is swealtering down there if it is pretty darn warm or hot up here in HollyWood North.I couldn't stand working in a hot office building or living in a house I would always be cranky because of the lack of sleep. How could you leave us we are like school students to you .I am glad that you did .

I am not leaving you completely silly just not taking the full responsiblity of Administrating the forums anymore. My sigh was because I have been working my b u t t off trying to keep the forum server hooked to the outside world the last few days and I recognize that it must look silly since I said goodbye then post "hey I'm fixing this" or come and answer questions.

You Age are one of the reasons I keep coming in to make sure things are working.

I beg to differ.

We had several flame fests there were at least that heated...I think before you ever arrived on the scene.  However, you were but a mere n00b when you accused the CW admins of stacking the map and server against the Feds in one "FUN server" campaign.  This was back when Nanner and the Nannerites were in full effect and that thread turned into quite a little row as several Fred players tried to blast me as I defended the CW admins and refuted your's and other's  claims.  I think it was then that Old Buzzard popped out of nowhere and referred to me as "doggy doo" just because I dared wax another of a certain individuals positions.

Ah yes...the good old days.
