How badly did I screw up.

I forfeited one of the story line missions, have I destroyed the campaign? It was that ISC grave of something another. I noticed since I forfeited that mission I haven't gotten anymore with a plot since.

Furthermore, another question. What determines the enemy ships that you fight? Is the more powerful your ship is mean the more powerful the enemy is? Because it just seems to be that way. Or is it based on the date?

Yes, your ship determines what you fight unless the script calls for a specific ship or ships.

You probably did mess up the campaign as you need to complete each camapign mission to be offered the others.

It is a good idea to save your game after each campaign mission so you can go back and not have to start over.
