R-G...Thats some awesome stuff mate!!!

BTW...was wondering if you wanted to workon a very small one ship project with me???

Thanks, say what does R-G mean?

AS far as the projext goes.Depends on if it requires new textures. Seeing as it takes me a long time to build base textures from scratch. I'd prefer something where the base textures are mapped already to some extent. I'll be in and out of town for the next few weeks, so I wouldn't be able to work on it steady. Plus I promised my Hydran ships would get done so I need to finish those up 1st.

bbarr97, These ships will work in SFC2. Only the hard points are reversed. So the primaries become the heavies and visa versa. With Feds this may be an issue since we all know where the phaser mounts and photon tubes should be located.
With my Hydrans I think its not that much of an issue, seeing as the G2 phasers and Hellbores can go where ever I say as its a hypothytical design.

You may need to change the file name from say Stinger.MOD to Stinger.mod (note the mod in lower case in second file)
I am not certain but I believe one of the SFC games need the mod file in lower case. Perhaps that was SFC1.  Just try it as it is, if it doesn't work, rename it.  I can't test it, as I no longer have the game installed and my hard drive is too small to have all SFC versions loaded at once.

There are extra files that SFC2 does not need, but having them in the folder doesn't hurt anything.

Is 950 polies too high for a SFC3 shuttle?  Hope not cause I chopped off 2000 polies off a design without losing too much of the original shape. If I get it down too 400-500 though it loses a lot.  No pic, sorry my pic host wont be refreshed until May 1st. If I upload it for d/l, I will include a preview pic. Suffice it too say, this is not a typical stock "box" type shuttle

Here ia a finished pic of thr Hydran/Fed light cruiser Hybrid ship.   Need to convert to game and test. Release in a couple days.   The Fed textured version of this ship is coming much later.   The Warp drive tech is fron the Fed Defiant.
Those rods in front are Hydran deflector rods. (I need a better tech name for them  )

SDS it is then. Thanks Azel. If I include that in the ship description I will credit the name to you in the readme.

I just got back from vaction and am not in the model swing yet. But I will get back to these Hydrans in a few.

I must these are quite nice, I like the design. May I have permission to put them in my TNG Mod for OP? I would need to include them in the download.

Thanks -

Chris

Yes by all means include them. Glad you like em.  I should have the latest 2 ships up in a couple days. Thinking that they will both be destroyers at this point as I have another ship to fill the CL role.  Great to hear that your updating your TNG mod. Looking forward to its release.

James,

I don't know why the fiddling with the firewall worked last time; it's not working this time.  As you said, you know my e-mail.  Could you send me the shuttle?

Funny though, the link for the Eclipse works, but from your other thread; could it be the way or locations they are linked to??

Thanks, and sorry!

E_Look I sent that ship a couple days ago. Let me know if you never got it. I think I deciphered your email correct.

Here is a wip pic of a mine layer I am making.  I started off thinking I was just going to do a version of the stock Hydran DD ship. Of course I thought it looked a bit plain for TNG era. Often the ship I am currently working on is my favorite. Simple cause its new to me and its like an empty canvas. This ship doesn't feel that way yet. Gets harder to  keep trying to top the  last one.

The idea behind this class will be to have no forward weapons. They all will be rear arcs. It will be  fast and nimble e with a DD hull. IT will have reinforced rear shields.  Increased hull size. Enough to have a level 3 tractor and 3 transporters. Equiped with level 3 thrusters. The whole idea is too overtake a ship from behind.  speed past drop anti matter mine, fire rear facing weapons and hightail it, then circle and repeat. This method will get you killed in SFC2, but in SFC3 is quite effective with a nimble ship.

See you all after the holiday

Red,

Nope.  After someone else having this problem too, I decided to make the addy easily readable again.  I just hope there isn't a more efficient spam driven address harvester lurking about these forums.

Thanks for the trouble.
