Guitar For Sale!!
« on: May 23, 2004, 07:57:46 pm »
I have an autographed Ibanez Joe Satriani JS10th 10 year anniversary limited edition Chrome Boy electric guitar that I need to sell. They only made 600 of them total. It is in great shape. I have only played it once. It comes with a matching silver case and silver DiMarzio cord. Here are some pictures of it.

This is the full guitar. You can see the autograph on the body of the guitar.

This is a pic of the back plate. It reads' "In commemoration of the 10 year associattion and collaboration between Joe Satriani and Ibanez Guitars. Serial No. 390

Another pic of the guitar.

A closeup of the head piece.

Here is a pic of the cord that came with it.

And this is a picture of when Joe autographed the guitar on his Peavey promotional tour earlier this month.

The asking price on this is rather high and I'd rather not put it here. If you are interested, PM me for more details. Thanks.

PS. I plan on putting it up on ebay soon. I would just rather sell it to someone who I know.

No Doubt. I am s Broke right now It's ot even funny, But that would be a great Investment.

BTW, What are the Trumpets behind you there. One looks like a King or Yamaha Student model, But the second One almost looks like a F. Besson. Kinda hard to tell from a distance.

Okay. One self-serving bump to get this up to the top again to make sure everyone sees it.

More info:

The guitar it self is made from a material called luthite. This is a material that is used to make some basses and possibley other stuff.  They had to use this so the chrome would stay on. Wood would expand and contact with the environment and cause the hrome to flake off.

The pickups are special made for this instrument by Dimarzio. They need to make sure the guitar sounded right and since it is not made from the normal basswood, the normal pickups weren't quite right. th pickups are in a three-way switch config where you can use the neck, both or bridge. There are also two coil taps. The first change the pickups to single coil so you could use the single coil next to the neck, bridge o the middle two. The other tap engages a high pass filter.  I have never really used this so I can't really describe its function.

The body is an aerofoil shape and it has a multi-radius which makes it very comfortable to play.

As I said in the first post, I will put it up for sale on ebay soon but I figured I'd post it here first to see if anyone here is interested.

End self-serving bump.
