Help with 'Elusive Quarry' misson
« on: March 02, 2003, 12:31:49 pm »
Since installing the patch I am trying to redo the missons and can't complete elusive quarry.  1 of 2 things happen, I manage to destroy every thing except Arai's warbird which tries to escape but stops just before leaving the sector and stays there or I get blown to bits without even getting the shields down on the warbird.  Is there a best way of tackling this misson, ie take the base out first or go for the ships first?  any help please

You can't destroy arai, don;t bother. Just get her to start leaving, and then the mission will end when everything else is destroyed.

...then its bugged. Well, you can either retry, reinstall, or just push her over the line with a tractor.

This happened to me once. Arai's sihp got their impulse engines destroyed and couldn't leave and therefore the mission wouln'd end. I had to tractor the ship to the end of the sector for the mission to end. Oh, the irony.

I can't tractor, every time I try to tractor ships which are key, ie cannot be destroyed, my tractor beam blows up, ie) goes grey on the ship schematic.

ouch.  Try not targetting warp core or engines when you fight.  And try shooting out his tractor beam, maybe it repulses yours...
