This looks pretty damn good may have to try it.

2, 16 oz. bottles of good root beer
cornstarch
Cooked or smoked ribs
salt and cayenne pepper to taste

Mashed potatoes: 6 Idaho potatoes
cream

butter

salt to taste

Caramelized onion (sauté in butter, slowly until browned add dash of sherry and reserve)

Method:

Bring root beer to a boil and add corn starch to thicken to a glaze. Add salt and cayenne pepper to taste and reserve.Finish ribs over charcoal by glazing both sides and cook for a few minutes to let glaze set.(Do not over cook glaze on ribs as it will burn and will give the ribs a burnt sugar taste).

For the potatoes just before service add caramelized onions and

blue cheese.

For the Rib Glaze, you can also use cola syrup which give it a wonderful flavor as well.

good choice. A&W is good, too. Or you could go out in a southern forest and dig up saspirilla roots and make it yourself unless you are a yankee.

Yeah... home-made saspirilla and sasafras tea... two good things from the earth.

Been a while since I've had either.
