Are your SFC2 sensors lying to you?
« on: March 02, 2003, 08:41:28 am »
Before the Arrival of SFC 3 I saw a post on here where the gentleman had said   " Well, get used to any bugs the patch has in it...it will be the last one we see as Taldren will drop support of any kind for SFC 2 once SFC 3 comes out".

I am beginning to feel quite duped.  I didnt belive him.  But seeing as how the last patch that came out (2036) is wrought with errors and STILL hasnt been fixed (i.e....incorrect sensor readings from probes, the ever present    I  - Torp bug..the still ever present Plasma bug which enables ONE plasma hard point to fire TWO REAL plasmas back to back,  ...etc., etc, etc.)

I am reluctant to have to admit he was right....so I am coming straight to you..the game designers...and I am asking point blank...Do you intend to ignore SFC 2 now??  Are you aware that the last patch is full of errors?? And if so, do you have a team working on the problem?

Thanks.

Testing this patch before release, i did not see this error as i played each race... however, I will not deny that it possibly exists...

Unfortunately, SFC 2 EAW is over 2 years old now and the last patch released in Nov 2002 was the final patch for EAW.. no further development is intended for EAW according to Taldren who posted last August that support was being ended for EAW.. too much time and money devoted to the support of that game over 2 years.

See if a full uninstall using add/remove programs removing SFC II and the SFC II patcher and deleting the Taldren folder, then reinstalling and re-patching with the Full version patch and see if the error still occurs...

I am sorry that you are having errors with the Final EAW patch and I hope the reinstall  corrects your problem... again it may have been something that was missed in testing before release... but in my experience when testing 2036.. I had no such experience that you describe...
