SFC4 more like SE:Starfury

I've been playing much more OP than SFC3 lately... to me SFC3 has very liitle replay value.  However my biggest kick is Space Empire: Starfury.  This game is great.  I encourage people to download the demo from Malfador .  The product value is not as high as the SFC series... and it seems rather simplistic at first... however beat the demo and you'll see what a great and deep game this really is.

Anyway I would love to see either a TC of SE:Starfury to the Startrek universe... or a SFC4 that uses the basic Starfury concept.

Any thoughts?

Starfury is really a neat game, but I'm a little disappointed about a few things in the game.  I was hoping it would have fleet combat, but it looks like its geared torward single ship duels (which is not really a bad thing) and totally geared torward a pirates perspective.  Also, I don't like the fact that it only takes minutes too transverse a solar system as its scaling is much different then in SFC (in SFC, a square is like 1000 or 10,000 Km while in Starfury, a square is more like 10 Million Km).  Also, the system requirements for the game a much more hefty then in SFC.

But overall, SE:SF has a lot of potential.

Well I can't argue about the scaling.  However, I'll gladly sacrifice that for the actual feeling of exploration that SF provides.  I know that SFBS was never about customizing your ship, but that seems to be where the SFC series is headed.  I think something closer to SF would help give SFC a sense of exploration... add a fleet command, a system command, and a sector command level to SF and we would truly have something that would make an excellent SFC title (well you would have to add ST ships too ).
