Topic: Terradyne's K'teremny gets an OLD paint job...

Here's my take on Terradyne's fine K' teremny:

In Todd Guenther's Ships of The Starfleet-Akyazi Class Perimeter Action Ships, he writes about the Klingon K'teremny in such a way that it leaves you hungery for more knowledge about this Cruiser in destroyer clothing  and what its capabilities are.

 I also read on one of the few remaining FASA Trek boardgame websites a write up for this class that indicated that the K'teremny was, for a short time, one of the Klingon's most advanced warships, but that the design even with upgrades couldn't keep up with what the Federation and other Alpha Quadrant races were fielding by earlyTNG times. Its Obvious to me that these FASA Trek players didn't pay attention to Canon Trek, with their 200+ year old K' T' ingas, LOL

I like this ship very much and am currently using it as my KDX in my SFC:OP game.

This WIP retexture reflects MY personal preferences for this ship and is my way of saying thank you to Terradyne for sharing this with us.  I like the older textures and felt compelled to keep some of them for nostalgia purposes. I did something similar when I kept some of the STOCK FBCH texture themes when I used Ganymad's textures on WZ45s Ulysses.

I have a few more tweaks to make and I need to get Terradyne's blessing to have it posted.

PLEASE NOTE: I wish to clarify that the *OLD* textures (based on the STOCK KCA) I am referring to in this thread are in fact from Cleeve's original version of the K' teremny.

The K'Teremny class design was first seen in Starship Design: Interstellar Forum for Naval Power...



...published in 1984. One of my favorite fan-published Trek reference manuals, and Todd Guenther's first, iirc. You can find a copy at Intergalactic Trading Co. http://www.intergalactictrading.com/ and probably a few other places.

The write-up on the K'Teremny is quite detailed, and an interesting read.

you could post it sure but i must say that i don't like those old textures and that was the reason why i made new textures for the top and bottom of the hull
