There's always Star Wars:Rebellion...if you can find it.

It's kinda like Birth of the Federation if you've ever played that game.

And someday I'm going to check to see if SW:R will run on XP.

Gods I miss my X-wing.  I wish it would work with XP.  Those games were the best, the whole series.

Or better yet "Tie Fighter" Where else can you fly as Darth Vaders Wingman, or get cool looking Tats on your arm

Right now the running themes with Star Wars games are Jedi and Republican Guards.  Everyone wants to be a commando or a Jedi.  Thus we are seeing two different republic commando types games coming soon and a Jedi type one that is a bit under raps but we know it has Darth Vader in it.  In Star wars Battlefront you can drive it, fly it, launch it, shoot it, secure it, capture it, blast it, and destroy it.  I can't wait.

Is the Jedi type one a planned sequel to JK:JA?

Where would be the best source of news on the web for that sort of thing?

Just bough JK:JA there yesterday... looks cool.

I thought JK:JA was cool.  I'm slightly intrigued by SW:Battlefront, but the burning question will be can you use a joystick to fly those space/aircraft.

Haven't heard anything about a sequel for JK:JA, though I know many want another JK game.  Instead they are giving us a Republic Commando game...of which I am currently not interested in.  Who cares about a gritty, dark, dirty, Special Ops game set in the SW universe?  Personally, Doom 3, and Half-Life probably should wipe the floor with their SW creation...even months later...but there are enough star wars fanatics out there that will go for anything starwars that it will probably suceed.  Unless it has something that really is new and outstanding for FPS games, OR someone gets it for me, I probably won't get that one.

Like SFC or even like maybe Federation and Empire the board game. You would think there would be a market for it.

Are they just sticking to the FPS and mmorpg,s Market. I wouldnt mind seeing a Starwars style SFC game or A federation and Empire style game.

As good as your bash fest is, It really needs its own seperate game to do it right, as things work just to differantly between the generes. Course its the same with B5 too.

Star Trek is more like a Naval game/move where you have big ships with a few big guns.

Star Wars is like a Fighter game/movie where the big ships are like bases with hundreds of guns, and their are a lot of little planes/fighters which can actually turn the tide of the battle (or the tide of the battle actually depends on them).  I'd say like AirCraft Carriers, but when watching the movies, the capital ships have a lot more guns than any ship I've ever seen.

So I think that a game like SFC wouldn't be especially suited towards starwars, but I'd love it if they had a flight/space simulator come out, sort of like the Rogue Squadron series, but geared a little more towards the general public, made for the PC (so I could use a joystick), and with the new graphics and other items of this day and age.

On the otherhand, I'd love another SFC game...perhaps GaW?

Star Wars: Battlefront.

Not only can you run around on foot, or fly a fighter and blast other fighters, but you can fly a fighter and blast the poor little fools running around on foot!  MUWAHAHA!

But seriously...Battlefront IS going to have that kind of fighter fighting.  It's gonna be awesome, especially in tandem with the people running around on foot...

What'd be cool is if they put some way (or someone makes a mod) that the sky is pass-through, so you could fly your fighter really far up high, pass through the atmosphere and suddenly be in space, planet below you, fighting ships in orbit...but hey, it's still fun to shoot the poor little guys running on foot...:)

Unless they're evil and do this...
