OT .... 30th Anniversary
« on: May 16, 2004, 09:37:33 pm »
I hope you guys dont mind my posting this here...  but at least I feel more at home here than some other places ...  soooo without futher intro :

                               A KING AND HIS QUEEN:  PART 2

One week from tonight we will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.  It?s hard to believe it.  What?s more amazing is that my bride seems to be up to another 30.  With all of the difficulties, disappointments and disasters we have faced  ( and there have been a few) together we have managed to continue pressing forward.  As you may have ascertained from the wording at this point ?. We have not always had things easy.  Actually things are frequently quite the opposite as a matter of fact.  The  simple truth is though, a lot of life is just what ya make it.  30 years ago we took a vow, and promised to do our best to love, cherish and protect the one woman I loved enough to ask to be my wife.  Some times we forget  just how bad we wanted that little lady ?  we for get our promises we made to the woman who we wanted to treat as queen of our house hold.  I?m so thankful that over the years we both learned to forgive, and to help one another in the good times and the bad.  I don?t have adequate words of expression to summarize in one brief statement the heart felt thanks I have seeing this mild stone in our life.

So if you folk will excuse me ??  I?ve made a little something  ?(not that spectacular) ?.  But something to express my appreciation to the Queen of my life !!   Here?s hoping and praying for another 30  ( at least) ..  and that the future will be brighter and more promising than ever !!

Congrats dude ->

Can't really say I know how you feel not even being old enough to have had a 30 year marriage, unless my parents arranged something before my birth they ain't tellin me about

Once again congratulations and hope you enjoy many more years of happiness together with your wife

Congrats Ol'Buzzard sir, in an era of disposable everything it truly warms my heart to see something as enduring as true love and re-affirms my belief that as long as true love exists there's hope for us all. So here's to you and your Queen may you have AT LEAST 30 more glorious years together.

Congrats Buzz!!

Been married for almost 13 yrs (June 29th), and have had few of those setbacks and disasters, but we've made it this far....hopefully we'll still be together at the 30 mark. Like ya said, it just takes detemination to make it work...that and saying "Yes Dear!" a whole lot.

Wow! Congratulations to you and your wife, Buzzard! It's quite an acheivement! I only tied the knot roughly two-and-a-half years ago, and hope to make an accouncement like yours in twenty-seven years!

thanks guys ...

BTW..  I hope to share this post with my wife this evening... and let her review the kind words as well.

Oh and Sandman ..  you are right.  A relationship that works...  takes work.  Finding someone who is willing to take those steps togeather is not always easy.  I am a most fortunate man.

Jesus, man, and I thought having been married 5 years this coming September was a long time...    not to make ya feel old or anything, but my PARENTS only have 34 years in...    Congrats, man, and I'll second the wish for another 30 as happy as the first...

Well, I'll be 34 in November, so it's possible, but you'd have had to have started early...
