OT 30th Anniversary

A KING AND HIS QUEEN:  PART 2

One week from tonight we will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.  It?s hard to believe it.  What?s more amazing is that my bride seems to be up to another 30.  With all of the difficulties, disappointments and disasters we have faced  ( and there have been a few) together we have managed to continue pressing forward.  As you may have ascertained from the wording at this point ?. We have not always had things easy.  Actually things are frequently quite the opposite as a matter of fact.  The  simple truth is though, a lot of life is just what ya make it.  30 years ago we took a vow, and promised to do our best to love, cherish and protect the one woman I loved enough to ask to be my wife.  Some times we forget  just how bad we wanted that little lady ?  we for get our promises we made to the woman who we wanted to treat as queen of our house hold.  I?m so thankful that over the years we both learned to forgive, and to help one another in the good times and the bad.  I don?t have adequate words of expression to summarize in one brief statement the heart felt thanks I have seeing this mild stone in our life.

So if you folk will excuse me ??  I?ve made a little something  ?(not that spectacular) ?.  But something to express my appreciation to the Queen of my life !!   Here?s hoping and praying for another 30  ( at least) ..  and that the future will be brighter and more promising than ever !!

Thanks guys !!  It's a lot of hard work sometimes.  But the rewards from its end result is far beyond what I could express in several pages ( let alone in just a brief paragraph).

Sitting at my desk here at work...  lunch time.  My wife fixed me a great roast, w/mashed potatoes, green beans and gravey too.  It's times like this that really bring it home ..  just how fortunate I am  ( it really makes up for all of those years where the best we could do was a cold sandwich).

Some people review a marriage as an investment ...  perhaps they may be right.  Mine today is not to debate the issue with profound words of wisdom...  but if it were so...  then my returns far exceed what we deserve...  and I am a very, VERY wealth man indeed !!
