So, as some of you know and some don't, I just finished building my new PC. Here are the specs
AMD Barton 2800+
SOYO KT600 Dragon Ultra Mobo
512 mb Corsair XMS DDR400 ram
Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9600XT (256mb)
I think that's all you know to know.
On to my question. Last night, I was playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, with NO slowdown whatsoever at max resolution. This morning, it was slow, choppy and unplayabe. I rebooted and tried again, same thing. So I figured, maybe it's a heat thing. So I leave the computer off for a couple hours, try again, same thing. What's going on?
Could this be a voltage issue to the HDD? I switched around some of the internal wiring, and I'm not sure if that has the possibility to slow the game down this much.
