Im wondering if someone could either show me how to do something or do it themselves...

I need to take the SFC II Frigate, wipe all starfleet insignia away from it, and rename the ship. I would also need wireframe pics of the ship.

Cleaning the insigna is easy if you have PaintShop Pro or Photoshop. Just open the texture you want to play with and copy a blank section over it. If you want you can also redraw that area, but it is harder to do.

Wire frame view can also be done easily if you have the mod view just go options==>polygon mod==>lines (or hit the "i" key on the keboard. Take a screen shot and them paste it into PaintShop, Photoshop and edit as needed.

Depends on the ship.

If you have blank textures for it then it takes about 15 minutes to do if you have PhotoShop or Paintshop Pro.
If you don't have a blank texture then you will have to make on first.

Do you have a pic of the ship? allot of ppl here have blanks pre-made, and that ship could be one of them.

Here's an idea.

Get Photoshop.
Select the Clone Stamp tool on the side (if its Photoshop 7 or 8, then click and hold on the Healing Brush and Clone Stamp will appear).

Alt-click on an empty area of the saucer, then left-click on the text. It should copy the colors from one section of the saucer and wipe out the text.

You might also want to try doing the same thing with the healing brush, if the clone stamp doesn't work right.

Then, use the Text tool to write something, then right click on the text and choose warp text, and warp it to look like the text on a starfleet hull.

Save as .bmp.

What do I have to do to allow the ship to be edited in photoshop? What do i have to convert it to? Is there an importer for it?

Just open up the .BMP pic files from the ships folder in PSP/Photoshop and edit, no converting needed.
