Fed BB UI for ShipEdit

Does anyone have the FBB UI for ship edit?

I have been missing it for quite some time and would like it, mostly so I can Hardpoint the Sparta2H and another ship. I really don't want to move them into positions that will not be easy to mange. So does anyone have them that work, that can send me the files?

Check your e-mail to see if that does the trick.

Yup that did it!

Thanks been many moons since that worked (like 2 years) and all that time I forgot to ask. Thanks again though, I needed it since I started to do Hardpoints now, before it did not matter (cuz I couldn't do them)

Thanks!

OK, here's a dumb question...How the heck do you use Shipedit?! I have it, but can't figure it out, so when I release a ship it's done to stack Taldren layouts, i.e. I replace the folder for the fff with my model file, that has been renamed fff. Any help would be great. Thanx!!

There already is a version for OP.
If you have shipEdit for SFC 1 and then add the one to SFC 2 EAW and OP over it then you have all the UIs'. If you only download and install the SFC 2 EAW/OP versions you will be missing a few UIs'.

Depends on what you are trying to do.
It is a easy way to change models for existing ships and there stats. It can be used to make new classes and added ships as well but you will still have to modify two other files to get it all to work properily (unless you don't mind a ship called ???)

File -> Open, and navigate to the SFC2 folder.  Open shiplist.txt.

Edit stuff.

Ship edit is probably the best thing to happen to this game. Its very easy and quick to edit specs or add new classes(sfc2/op). Layout of hardpoints is fixed by the ui of the game but all the parameters can be changed to whatever you see fit.
Its an on-going process for me to re-spec most of the stuff in the game, As Captain Ron said there's a couple of other things that need to be edited for new classes but that's no big deal either. I also like to have a custom mod.siz file to adjust models to my taste as well. If you will describe what it is your trying to do I'm sure one of us can help with instructions.

OK, as you know I build and release models for SFC:EAW/OP...I use them in OP as I don't have EAW. I want to be able to release the ships completely ready to go...just throw it in the models folder and play, without having to change the folder to fff, fdd, fbb etc. That's also how I hardpoint them...just follow the UI layout for the hp's. If nothing else, I'd like to release them with the proper hp, in a layout that will work for those who d/l them. Any help is appreciated. Oh, and I have the beta for Shipedit for OP.

There is a Export/Import feature with it.

You set it up the way you wanted it and Export it.
Then some one with shipedit can import it and use it as you set it.

I never tryed it, but willing if you want to see if it will work

The export/import feature does work well to pass on your specs to others. If you are creating new classes you should provide  a notepad page with lines for string.txt and shipnames.txt to cut and paste or the"???" will show up in the shipyard and game.
