I know there are schools dedicated to teaching the skills needed to make video games.  It's interesting to see these things expanding outside of traditional geekdom.

The school I'm going to this coming fall (worcester Polytechnic Institute) is offering a gaming development minor my freshman year, and a gaming development major my sophomore year. Can you say double major? Computer science and game development!
