Topic: SFC and Windows XP

[SFC1701]

I just got SFC and when I insert the CD to install it say: The procedure entry point SUnMapLS_IP_EBP_20 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll. Can sumone help me cause I really want to play the Single Play.

I have Windows XP Home Edition
Star Trek Starfleet Command

Kernel32.dll is a windows explorer component... It seems as if your windows explorer is corrupt or out of date..

First try these methods...

Go to Windows Update and get all available updates.

click on your Start Button and click on RUN. type in " sfc /scannow " without the quotes and allow it to scan your system.. you may need your Windows XP CD if it finds errors...

next if you are still having problems, try running Ad-Aware 6, can be downloaded at www.lavasoft.de, AND also run Spybot Search and destroy.. get the updates after installing, then run the scans.. in Ad-Aware 6, remove everything it displays in the results page.. some items may need a reboot to remove.. let it do this..

Spybot Search and Destroy, when you run this.. only remove items that show up in red color....

this may also ask you to restart your system to remove items.

this will get any hijacking software off your system..

If you still experience problems, then you will need to go to the Mictosoft web site and download and install Internet Explorer 6 SP 1, then go back to Windows Updates to check for any updates that may re-appear.

If the error still occurs, then it is a CORE XP problem and is recommended to either call or email Microsoft for support OR reinstall the entire system after formatting the hard drive..

then get all the Windows Updates

then install SFC


as for bringing SFC up to date in game version, you can go to my site and get the patches for SFC.. just follow the instructions in order and read through until you see the words "You're all set to play Starfleet Command".
