Topic: A first model post for me.......USS Roosevelt

After someone on ArmadaFleetCommand's forum made a special request I decided to try my hand at a TOS design. Whilst no where near as good as some of the models from those in this forum its probabyl one of my best. Poly count is 2146 and it uses 5 high res textures (1024*1024). If anyone wants it (DM where are you??) then please let me know. Be warned though that I have no idea on converting this to SFC/BC format myself and because of the zip filesize, my email won't accept it (I've already tried). Anyway, heres (hopefully) a little quick piccy. Comments are welcome, although I'll expect some negative feedback.

its a nice conversion but make sure you credit the orginal author of the Highres version, which is Floodcasso2, and get his permision to convert it to game play. they can get uptight over that stuff, On SCI-fi Meshes. But if you allready got it then disreguard this mesage

Khalee. Don't worry yourself. Complete and full credit for the original has been placed in the accompanying readme. Only problem is there is no readme with the original sci-fi meshes hosted model, so unless someone there provides me with a contact for the original creator theres nothing I can actually do about it apart from providing the credit. Oh and I already had a runin with one member on the forum.

looks good, only the saucer is not round enough for an SFC ship

and if you now even make ships for SFC than you could have my place in here, i now only make ships for armada and leave the SFC model making

Agreed Khalee. Terradyhne. Whilst not everyone would like a particular design of vessel, or station, if you like it then thats all that matters. I'm not a big TOS, or enterprise fan, but that still didn't stop me from making the NX-01 and this one in my own fashion. You put time, care and effort into your models and whilst people will have criticism (as you always know they do), you just need to keep on with what you enjoy doing. As for the saucer. I know its a little unsmooth, but that was necessary so it could still just about fit in with Armada 2's lower-than-sfc/bc poly count.

i think i had one like that, had converted it from a 3ds file, cant remember where i had gotton it and it was one of batch i lost when i lost my first HD   .  cant wait till u get it done. if u want i can do it over to SFC3.
