Will be higher each sucessive night. The first comet I ever observed was when I was in Bosnia. Spectacular. I hope this one is good. It was too low tonight for me to see it behind houses and trees.

And its starting to cloud up again So far every time something interesting in the sky happens its been cloudy or rainy.

That happened to me during the 5 planet viewing timeframe and the last metoer shower. Don't worry comets usually hang arounf for quite a while. IIRC the one I saw in Bosnia was there for weeks.

About 10 years back i saw i think Hale-Bopp above the Grand Canyon while i was there touring with my grandparents.

Thats probably the one I saw while in Bosnia. The time frame is about right. It was beautiful and long. The tail was spectacular. It was also erie almost supernatural. Awe inspiring.

Was very blurry over the canyon. Winds were wrong so smog filtered in.

Well, I was in a place bereft of industry. It was very clear. I remember being disappointed about another comet that was supposed to be spectacular shortly before this one, which was much hyped. This one was totally unexpected. No one knew what it was at first.
