Heres as close as I could get to what you asked for. Just save the bmp and then overwrite the fedbube.bmp texture.

And walla instead borg. You can maybe tweak with the contrast and brightness in a photo editor also.

Thanks for your help!     Its close to what I was looking for.  Now that I think about it I'm looking for a solid black texture with a highly reflective surface.  Maybe almost mirror like.  Is that even possible?  Maybe with illuminations.  Hmmm....  If I can get this to work I'm thinking about creating a "Void" Fleet.

well ok -There is a feature called glass in PSP. That may be just what you need.  there has to be a bit of a pattern for it to work though. I'll post another bmp tomorrow.

I have the specular and diffusive maxed in that fedcube and I-maps only help if you have light and dark areas.

Heres what I have. If I go any lighter it turns to grey.

Who remembers the Cosmic Cube in the Captain Marvel (that's Mar-Vel, from Marvel Comics, not Shazam!) comic books when he fought against Thanos?  That was like a miniature Borg Cube except with a very shiny surface, and could do 'most anything you wanted it to!  To bad to save the universe, Mar-Vel had to destroy it.  Too bad Thanos was a Darkseid near-clone.  I wonder, could any of you guys with the modeling skills do a Kree warship?   By the way, we're talkin' a looong tiiiiime ago... almost in a galaxy far, far away, before comics decided to boldly go where comics should never have gone.

The first one was closer.    For all your patience with me I thought I would give you a little gift.  So, here is a link to a texture, that I made for your FedCube, that you just might like.

If you use it post some screen shots for people.
