Used to play the actual card game, then the PC game but never got into the online game.

There's a program called Apprentice that has all the cards for free but it's just a virtual tabletop. IOW the  program doesn't keep track of the rules and all it just provides an online tabletop to play with other people so you need to know all the rules. Kind of like SFBonline.

I used to play MGTO last year and I do like it but the cost is staggering. Needed to clarify last post.

Those boosters and event tickets really add up. You keep buying and buying because it's a blast then you go back after a 3 month period and add up how much you spent and your mouth drops. I also live in Florida, so I can't get any of the prizes they give out if you win.

People suggested that I "move" (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)  but I do not feel comfortable doing it.

It's a fun game for those that have the gold pressed latinum just laying around. I'm enjoying playing Yu-Gi-Oh on my GBA. Less expensive.

I love it but I mostly play casual.  I basically dropped $150 on a 3000+ card collection on e-bay.  Since then I will buy some of the new stuff everynow and a gain if I want to do a draft.  I like sealed deck, but since the game has been so bugged lately it has been a while since I have done any of those.

I still play a few times a week.

i used to play the card game alot the last four years, though here there ain't nobody who plays (yet )  i played MTGO when it was in beta, that was a ball but couldn't continue cause one i had no job and 2, it was a bit expensive (and i didn't even get the real cards unless i completed a set)

Though right now i'm a little dissappointed with the current set, they changed alot of stuff like the borders for ex (why they do that?) .  oh well, i hope they fix it cause the cards look ugly now

There was a definate split when Wizards changed the way the cards looked when they made the 8th edition.

I agree with Raven, casual play was the coolest feature rafts are fun but they suck the money from you. Problem with casual was you had these card sharks that had uber netdecks that could beat you with these combs that made you helpless. The auction room was fun too, once you learned your way around. When you found fair and honorable players, i really made the match quite enjoyable.

I used to play back in the mid 90s so I am guessing that's the Alpha and Beta with some of the first expansions.  I have never played in a turney but I loved to play for fun because when you are heavy with child you just don't go around playing tackle football.

It was a blast and now I have a large plastic bin of those cards . . .  any body want em?  If I remember correctly it has quite a few Betas and about three expansions and some really rare cards!  I don't have a current count or price because every time I try to go and get a good(and current) price guide my local comic book store is out!

Anyway if any of you are intrested enough to make a bid for it . . .  I would be very greatfull!  (need the room and it's spring cleaning time again!)
