I finally get my SFC2EAW working and I find that the Dynaverse isn't even up. What a bummer. I miss the good old days.

   I hate to say this but it gets worse.There aren't many servers for EAW now only the one you loged into.The game that is hip  now is Orion Pirates.The reason is that there are so many mods that users put a lot of time into and decided to make it Orion Pirates.I am not sure why EAW is drying up but it is it is just OP is the more of a hip  game right now and for the next 3 to 5 years from now untill a new one comes out.I am sorry to have tell you this but it's the truth.

 You can still download the patch like Pestalence said and I hope everything works out.

As Age stated, many people have moved over to Orion Pirates as Orion Pirates is Empires at War Enhanced, a much better game with more races, reatures and better patch fixes and more fan support.

I'm patched correctly. There were only two servers up. One I couldn't connect to, the other only had one person on it.

The one you couldn't connect to is probably running a Mod, if so, read the server description to locate where to download the files needed for the mod in order to join the server.

Hilton, theres a merged shiplist on this server, with two sides. One side is the feds, mirak, gorn, hydran. Other is Klink, Rom, ISC, Lyran.

I just started playing again and man i was really rusty. First game the Ai nearly beat me. Theres lotsa PvP like Crim said, so youll be back to snuff soon

Hehe! I gotta admit I like fed ships but without a good bad guy the game gets boring! LOL! That's the reason I turned Rom back in the day. "Better dead than Fed." LOL!

I tried my hand using Rommies after I got the game running, and I found that I had not lost my touch all that much. I'm still deadly with plasma.

Can't wait to start chucking plasma at Feds and Klinks again! :P

Never attack my pals, the Fed. They may be utterly useless when someone shoves a plasma ball up their warp nacelles, but my 'carving knives' (fusion beams) and 'gifts from hell' (Hellbores) may have something to say about that

Looks like I will have to move over to OP as well then. Only recently justed off my old copy of SFC2EAW and only found one sever with only as much as 7 playesrs on it. I guess more than I really expected given the age of the game now.

Its a shame that SFC 3 has lost alot of the good functionality of the SFC 2 (I love Wild  Weasels, etc)

That's why thr Rommies came up with a new cloak. Phaser Boating ain't what it used to be now that the Rom can effectively Starcastle and draw in the enemy. Not a 100% good tactic, but it does add to your bag of tricks.

If you are running Windows XP or Win2k with MSN Messenger or a Linksys router and

Windows XP or Win2K plus MSN Messenger: Open your programs folder, open

5) Weapons damage is reduced according to the following chart:
   66.7% chance weapon does normal damage.

Change to Missile 'Type' display in tactical:
This now shows the actual type of missile in the rack as a two digit code
where the first character shows the warhead and the second the speed examples:

   I hate to say this but it gets worse.There aren't many servers for EAW now only the one you loged into.The game that is hip  now is Orion Pirates.The reason is that there are so many mods that users put a lot of time into and decided to make it Orion Pirates.I am not sure why EAW is drying up but it is it is just OP is the more of a hip  game right now and for the next 3 to 5 years from now untill a new one comes out.I am sorry to have tell you this but it's the truth.

 You can still download the patch like Pestalence said and I hope everything works out.

I just started playing again and man i was really rusty. First game the Ai nearly beat me. Theres lotsa PvP like Crim said, so youll be back to snuff soon

I tried my hand using Rommies after I got the game running, and I found that I had not lost my touch all that much. I'm still deadly with plasma.

Can't wait to start chucking plasma at Feds and Klinks again! :P

Looks like I will have to move over to OP as well then. Only recently justed off my old copy of SFC2EAW and only found one sever with only as much as 7 playesrs on it. I guess more than I really expected given the age of the game now.

Its a shame that SFC 3 has lost alot of the good functionality of the SFC 2 (I love Wild  Weasels, etc)
