Topic: why do some people have pets (Read 1118 times)

Neighbores next door have two dogs bout all I have ever see them do is feed and water them. Even the kids ignore them,they played with them when they were puppies but not now. Im like why have them if your not going to pay attention to them. Every pet I have ever owned I spoiled them rotten even after the baby stage. They have even slept with me on the bed, till I got too big and there was not enough room anymore ,but they still slept at my side on the floor. I just dont see why some people have pets and not want to do anything with them after a while its like they shouldnt have gotten them in the first place.

Not to sound overly cynical but that happens all too frequently with children too. It isn't limited to just pets. And as for an answer, I have no idea.

Some people need a new attention span.
I dont understand some people the way they treat others. But some cases with pets I can understand- a pet thats untrainable for example, that can get frustrating. *BUT* I dont think its ever frustrating enough to not pay attention to the pet, some people are just weird.
