SFC3 Primary Weapons Data

Thank you for the info...

**DONOTDELETE**:
Wow. Thxs Dave.

Is this correct?

All primaries regardless of race have an unmodified 90% hit chance??

The only variation is how they degrade with range and base damage???

Also, unless I am mistaken, all races primaries are equally effective in hit percentage against warping targets. It is only the "bolt" type graphics that are misleading.

I'm sorry to say that you're incorrect on that account...check out this replay ( here's the link to it )...the cues to whether you get hit or not are pretty obvious, especially when you're the one being shot at.

It is interesting to note though, that klink dizzies often have a very slight damage advantage at max range....need to go back and see if the degradation is affected at other ranges as well.

NannerSlug:
death merchant.. you are correct about the hitting ability while at warp. until i read somthing that taldren post other wise - i think its a safe bet.

Then I'm confused.

The hit percentages are all the same. The only modifiers I'm aware of are AV, EM, target size, computer, and officer rating. I was under the impression that going to warp simply increased speed, therefore angular velocity.

Are some weapons specifically coded NOT to work against warping ships (like the tractor beam)??
