Texas is indeed tax free state (God blessed Texas, with his own hand), but we do have some of the highest city taxes allowed by Federal law, 8.25%. May not seem like much, but go buy a car or house and OUCH!

We have a weekend of tax free shopping in August before school starts (Many Mexicans know this and help support the economy of El Paso and other border regions in Texas). It was created to help poor folk buy clothes, school supplies and what not before school for their kids, but later the Texas lawmakers said "What the heck, let everyone join in on the breaks."

Texas, if it was a nation, would be the 5th most polluting in the world (Thanks Houston and Beaumont), yet we do have some good bennies, and Texas DOES TAKE CARE OF IT'S VETERANS!

It may be pay day, but I burnt out an AMD XP 3200+ last night.

$180 for a replacement 2800+. ouch. Then again, I bought the 2800 at a local store, so I paid for convenience.
