Need Tech HElp

I'm not sure what happened, I wasn't home all day and the wife and kids were on the computer.  I'm running  XP  with all the  latest updates and  IE6.0(?). I connect using AOL 9.0 with broadband.  Anyways when I go to a web page  with the  AOL browser and  IE  they appear in the wrong colors. For example the Taldren frontpage  shows with blocks of black just around the writing, the menus are blue and the rest is white. Happens on every webpage. However when I usse Firefox I've got the appropriate color scheme. What setting got changed?!?

In IE click Tools then Internet Options. Click the "Colors" button in the lower left, then make sure "Use Windows colors" is checked then click "OK". Click the "Accessibility" button in the lower right. Make sure nothing here is checked, then click "OK" and then "OK" again, then close IE and re-open it (not necessary, but still a good idea).
