We had a little saying in the Music Dept. at my University. If you wanted to drive a music theory student insane you need only to do one of two thing:
1. Sing the first three lines of the "It's a small world" chorus. Before the fourth and final line, go back to the first line. Repeat as needed.
2. Go to any piano nearbye. Play a Dominant seven chord in first inversion. Works best if played with multiple doublings in both hands. Stand up and leave piano without playing the resolution to said chord.
