Pesty, Shadow Bane is an older lisence and the first two iterations have been out already my friend. EB also used this in a huge X-mas campaign this last year. It's a great game though what little I played it.

 Shadow Bane

and

 Shadowbane: The Rise of Chaos

An honest mistake I'm sure though. It's nice too know though that taldrn is continuasly Grabbing ahold of new licenses and growing. It makes me proud to be a part of a community that has the potential in this new game to be the biggest clan yet for a game.

Of course they need an easter Egg Klingon to kick around, Or at least kroma.

I'm sure taldren will put there spin on the game, and make It very enjoyable. I'm sure Reverand will also understand as he's a great guy here in OKC. He's been by my house a few times knowing I dont have a car, and offering to Help me out If I need to go anywhere.

Is he a crazy Russian? Yep.

Is he a great guy? Yep.

Now you two pass the Vodka, and let's get the word out on this new Game.

To be clear, the team in CA is indeed re-vamping Shadowbane for the Korean and Chinese markets (it is kinda weird, I am over here in Korea working on a new MMO, and the CA team is working on a title for Korea right now).

I am sure you guys could get in and play, but the playerbase will be mostly Korean and a fierce set of Chinese clans that the Korean player base whines about! ;-)

Taldren as a whole has shifted over to concentrating on online / service / small games and somewhat away from console work.  We want to create games where our connection to the players is as close as possible.  That may sound hooey, but it is true, working behind several middle businesses is not satisfying.

Actually, if my analysis is worth anything, I think that is the correct course of development to take at this time. A poor analogy is the time in film devlopment history when the Big Studios were calcifiing and it was the independents who made the market happen with the best product.

I want to  know how you plan to do this when you have all this scheduled...

Quote:

 fix the bMachine blogging install
figure out what the Amazon Honor system is about and see if I can use it to get more Mosquito Nets!
find a faster way to publish my photos, someone must have written a tool for that
add 10 new photos a week

make myself do 5 book reviews for each new book I want to buy
flesh out the politics page with the essays I have already written
create some Change What You Buy logos and get them on some Cafe Press shirts - again to get more Mosquito nets!
write up an over view of where I think we should go with space - specifically add Zubrin's books and review
add the commencement speach I did for the Art Institute
add projects page

hehehe...

the webstuff - ahh that is easy stuff to crank out... I think I have spent only about 15 hours or so on my sight so far...

Getting the blog/forum up is just a little pain, it seems my web company doesn't want .html and cgi folders in the same directory so I have to change some of bMachine's scripts or find another blogger.

actually I don't list all of my projects for this very reason - I don't want people to think I am not focused on particular projects - but I just plain love to create and work all the time.  I don't watch TV and lately I have almost stopped watching movies...  but I have increased my time with friends chatting and drinking beer....

I spend a lot of time studying korean... does anyone know how to conistently get unicode in BB code?  I see some BB boards support just the subject lines and others the bodies as well.  Here, nothing....

Hopefully Taldren will make enough money off of this game to pay for the costs of making a SFC4

LOL...sorry Erik, but you asked for this zing...

Yes, any one can use a word processor and even compose a sentence or two, but ultimately it is the skill of the user/coder that determines wether or not what is produced is a Pulitzer or just more drek cluttering the internet transome.

That aside, I honestly suggest that even though frontpage does offer a plathora of templates (and thus shortens development time for the rookie), it ultimately lacks any sense of a visual cohesion(sp) and thematic style that is so important to a succesfull internet site.

I have 3--strike that--I have 4 sites I suggest you look at for excellence is style and workability.

http://www.codeproject.com/index.asp

http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/tutorials.html

http://www.bankofamerica.com/index.cfm

and last but surely not least--

Hey Jerry,

Let me get this straight, you took your time to write a post to tell me that there are at least 4 websites on the internet that are much better than mine.

Nice,

Erik,

If you choose to look at my post that way you can, but then that would be a waste. Or you can choose to look at my post in the light of constructive critism given with examples to enlighten.

Best,
Jerry

Toasty are these not your words?

Laughs out load
you asked for
Zing
compose a sentence
just more drek

C'mon man, lighten up will ya?  I didn't do anything to make your life bad.  I don't hate you.  I just put a website to communicate with people, not to impress anyone with my l33t webskills.

If you feel the need to be mean, share it with someone else or kick your fish, I don't want it.

ok, maybe I was a bit harsh. I went back and reread your post and figure this must be what I reacted too.

I hope this is taken in the spirit it is given.

This morning I surfed through your site (funny tag line at the top) and noticed your email addy is not a hotlink and thus your visitor must cut-n-paste to contact you by emai.

Try this little snippet to remedy that obstacle.

Thank you toasty,

But I was wondering wouldn't spammers have automated spiders to collect email addresses?  That was what I was avoiding...

What do you think?

And thank you Toasty,
