lol, you want bad translation, I have the ultimate example.  Unfortunately I don't know the game name.

Does anyone know the name of the "All your base are belong to us" game?  From what I've heard, it was horrible translation that cause it to be that way.

The opening movie:

It's HILARIOUS.

It was so funny these people made a video of it...I get a kick out of it every time I watch  It's Flash.

They say, ?What am I supposed to do? Give me hints. Provide me service instead of just throwing me into this arena.?"

Interseting. Myself, when I get thrown into the game, I ask "What CAN I do?" Games the limit my actions are too linear for my taste, and are rarely worth a second play.

As an example, think of the Starcraft campaign maps where you are given your forces and not expected to build. Your goal is only to unlock the puzzle of the map, and once that's done, any replay is just that; a replay. A game that just says, "Here's the world, kick it's butt," and offers any number of possible methods is something that I'll get into again and again.

One thing that I didn't see mentioned in the article are the prices of the US games. The Japaneese are notorious for slapping American products with outrageous tarrifs. Even when they own the world market on something. The Japaneese love Harley Davidsons and American made hi-end audio gear. The Japaneese government puts a huge terrif on it so it doesn't hurt the sales of their domestic products. Maybe games are different, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they aren't.
