Sci-fi Bashfest screenshots!
« on: April 25, 2004, 10:11:07 am »
That's right folks, Sci-fi Bashfest is returning from the grave.

My previous screenshots were the semi-finished converted models that I had replaced ST ships with.  These new ones are the actual SW ships with SW specs.

Unfortunately, I am having trouble getting the weapons to come out where they should on the UI.

Here's some eye candy for you:

A Star Destroyer gets nuked

An A-wing evades the Star Destroyer on its tail

An A-wing opens fire on a Galaxy-class Starship

A squadron of A-wings take down the Galaxy as a cloaked Romulan obvserves

The  Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruiser fires one bank of turbolasers at the Defiant

An Akira-class fires torpedoes at the Mon Cal

More eye candy!

A Sovereign rams a Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruiser...

A Borg Cube assimilates its last drone...

A flight of bombers let loose their missles

An Akira has a near miss on a TIE Interceptor...

Close up on a Star Destroyer as a bomber makes his run...

An X-wing slips between two Borg torpedoes as a Sphere attacks with a vengeance...

Wow...big...

Missed me again!  Nyah!

Revenge is mine!  Nyahahaha!  Gotta love proton torpedoes...

Fleet formations...

Open Fire!

Uh oh...that tractor beam bay is rather close...

A Sovereign fires into the mess...

Many of these were tested in multiplayer.

In that last picture, GFL-Orcrist was one of the ships in the middle and was nuked shortly after this picture was taken.  I would have wreacked havoc on those ISD's, but I forgot to refit my Sovereign

Orcrist was also one of the Mon Cals in that little fleet assualt.

In the ISD closeup, the ISD took out my bomber and I was following Orcrist.

Whattaya think?

Thanks

Maybe I'll let you beta test it...

Now some extra eye candy:

An X-wing and two Star Destroyers take on a Star Destroyer and a Star Destroyer Mark 2...Star Destroyer Mark 2 is piloted by a player, Orcrist

My X-wing smacks into the Imperial Star Destroyer Mark 2's shields.  Painful.

The Home One exchanges fire with a Mon Calamari MC90.  The Home One needs to be resized to be about 2-3 times larger.

A better view of the MC90, as it teams up with a pair of Star Destroyers to fight a Super Star Destroyer...

Battle setup...

The Defiant takes out one of the SSD's TIE fighters...

Uh-oh...

A K-wing makes a run on the Super Star Destroyer's bridge

A Mon Calamari MC80, Nebulon-B Frigate, and a pair of Corellian Corvettes take on a Super Star Destroyer.

You mean like that?

BTW the problem with the UI's not showing up has been fixed.

Don't ask me what the problem was.  It was an embarrassingly stupid mistake on my part

Now THAT'S a scary sight!

Fortunately it's just the prototype...

New screenies!

A Star Destroyer fires upon a Scimitar-class Assualt Bomber

The bomber and his buddies suceed in destroying the Star Destroyer...unfortunately, most of the other TIEs are lost in the titanic explosion.

First look at WZ's new Star Destroyer in game...

The Empire's new command ship mercilessly bombards an MC90, one shot at a time.

An overhead view of the command ship as it completes the destruction of the MC90, beneath:

Notice the crew names...

Leia has been added as Ops since the taking of the above screenshot.

The Falcon evades a new Star Destroyer model...

The Federation comes to the rescue, breaking the ship apart with well-placed quantums

The USS Defiant faces off with an Imperial Dreadnaught...

And of course wins, as the writers are on Sisko's side.

Wow, that does look pretty impressive!
"All hominins are hominids, but not all hominids are hominins."

"Is this a Christian perspective?

Now where in the Bible does it say if someone does something stupid you should shoot them in the face?"
